30 before 30: The Wandering Couple’s Bucketlist

December 29, 2016 by Edcel Leave a Comment

Time indeed flies fast. For our case, it seems like time flew like a speeding bullet. When we look at the calendar in each passing day, it has slowly crept on our mind that we are, sadly, nearing the big ‘THREE 0’!

We became a couple when I was just 21 and Sheena was 20, and we’ve shared a lot of experiences together. So, before hitting the big ‘THREE O’ we agreed on compiling a checklist of things what we would want to do before we hit 30 years old.

To start the hullabaloo, here’s our ’30 before 30′ bucketlist — 30 things we want to do before we hit 30-years old!

Travel Goals The Wandering Couple's Bucketlist
Travel Goals

Life/Family

  • Donate Blood  – I donated when Sheena was pregnant, then she had her turn when her mom was sick
  • Learn how to Cook/Drive (Sheena)
  • Graduate from College – if there’s one thing we are proud of, it’s going back to College and finishing that degree while working
  • Get Education/Life Plan for Aeary – (Aeary is our daughter for everybody that don’t know yet)
  • Get our own Life Insurance
  • Start/Own a business
  • Donate to Charity
  • Get Married
  • Buy our own house
  • Learn another Language

Travel/Adventure

  • Visit 1/4 of the 81 provinces in the Philippines
  • Get a Passport  – of course it’s done!
  • Travel International at least once – What’s a Passport’s use, aside from identification, if you won’t use it, right?
  • Visit multiple countries in one year – same as a few items back, what use does a Passport have if you don’t use it until you run out of pages to get stamped on?
  • Visit a country that requires a Visa

  • Get a US Visa – of all the countries we have applied Visa for, it has been only the US Embassy that has rejected Edcel’s Visa Application… TWICE! So this deserves it’s own item.
  • Surf
  • ‘Topload” on a bus/Jeepney
  • SkyDive/Paraglide or anything in that sense

  • Bungee Jump
  • Ride a Helicopter
  • Ride a Hot Air Balloon
  • Visit an active volcano  – Visited Tangkuban Perahu in Indonesia last 2015.

  • Swim with Sea Turtles/Sharks/Whalesharks
  • Experience and Play in the Snow – we hate winter, we really do, but being born and have lived our whole life in a Tropical Paradise called Philippines, we daydreamed of feeling snow in our hands.
