Frizberry Yogurt Opens in SM Cebu

May 18, 2010 by Edcel 5 Comments

The Wandering Couple went on a healthy trip. You read it right! The Wandering Couple was there during the opening of Frizberry Yogurt in SM City Cebu last March 08, 2010. We did not gate-crash of course! We were invited to cover the event, or should I say, Cebu Bloggers’ Society was invited to cover the event and I am a member of the group and I just brought Sheena to hopefully munch on some healthy treats!

Why did they invite us to their opening? Because the Internet is the big advertisement space at a cheap price. So, if you need us to visit your place, contact us and we can negotiate (shameless plugging).

Anyway, we were in SM City Cebu on time but I think we waited for roughly 2 hours before the owner arrived and everything started officially. All I can say is, everything was worth the wait. I have never been a fan of Yogurt and honestly, I haven’t tasted one ever since. This was the first time I tasted yogurt and it was oh so good!

The name Frizberry was derived from the name of the fiancee of Mitchel (owner). Her name is Priscy. Some change on the spelling, and voila! Both Mitchel and Priscy were really accommodating and friendly. While most of my co-Cebu Bloggers were busy interviewing Mitchel, I was busy wasting no time to munch on the Yogurt treat that I ordered.

I suck at making food reviews because I always run out of adjectives that is why I haven’t posted our food trips online as I will be left with having to mention delicious and yummy a gazillion times on 1 restaurant alone. That should explain how small my stock of adjectives for food is. All I can say is it tastes as good as ice cream and it is far healthier than ice cream. Kids will also love the assortment of toppings that you can choose from. I think I had yogurt with chocolate sprinkles and strawberries and Sheena had yogurt with chocolate sprinkles, marshmallows and nips(?). Again, don’t ask me how it tasted. All I know is that it was free and I did not puke while munching on the treat.

Here are 10 reasons why Yogurt is a Top Health Food:

1. Yogurt is easier to digest than milk

2. Yogurt contributes to colon health.

3. Yogurt improves the bio-availability of other nutrients.

4. Yogurt can boost immunity.

5. Yogurt aids healing after intestinal infections.

6. Yogurt can decrease yeast infections

7. Yogurt is a rich source of calcium.

8. Yogurt is an excellent source of protein

9. Yogurt can lower cholesterol

10. Yogurt is a “grow” food.

Indeed a healthy lifestyle on a yogurt! Are these reasons not enough for you to shelve a couple of bucks for a healthier lifestyle? I definitely think that yogurt is worth every buck you will spend. If you have some spare time and cash, you can drop by Frizberry Yogurt in SM City Cebu. It

Thank you Mr. Mitchel Colina and Ms. Priscy Saldon for the free treats! We will be back in your store. 🙂
